The Thailand Privilege Visa (formerly Thailand Elite) is a paid membership that grants long-stay without the age and bank-balance rules but at a large up-front fee. - Thailand Privilege (Elite): paid membership (substantial fee), no age minimum, no bank-balance test, multi-year stay, fast-track airport service, still no work permission, still TM30 + 90-day reporting.
When the retirement visa is the right call
- You are 50+ and meet the financial test comfortably.
- You prefer to pay a small annual cost rather than a large up-front fee.
- You are happy to do an annual extension visit (we handle the file and attend with you in Phuket).
When the Privilege Visa is worth considering
- You are under 50 and want to live in Thailand long-term.
- You do not want to season funds in a Thai bank.
- You value the airport fast-track and concierge perks the membership offers.
