Moving to Phuket with Pets

Moving to Phuket with your dog or cat requires careful timing regarding vaccinations, blood tests, and import permits. Thailand is not generally a strict quarantine country if all paperwork is perfectly prepared before arrival.

The Import Process

  • Microchip & Vaccinations: Your pet must be microchipped and fully vaccinated (especially against Rabies and DHPPI/Lepto) at least 21 days prior to departure.
  • Import Permit: You must apply for an import permit from the Thai Department of Livestock Development (DLD) prior to flying.
  • Health Certificate: A government-endorsed official health certificate from your home country is required within days of flying.

Notice: While you organize the complex paperwork for your pets, let our team handle your visa logistics entirely. We take the stress out of the immigration process so you can focus on getting your furry friends safely to the island.
